The OGM Snack Bar will be open for the duration of OGM, it will be located in the Open Air Cabana.

The OGM is a monthly event for the playing of tabletop games of all
genres, including American and European Boardgames, Miniature Games,
RPGs, Card Games, and Board Wargames.
To get to Residencia 8888 by MRT, get off at the SHAW Blvd. From
there, walk on the side of Shangri-La Plaza heading towards the One
San Miguel Bldg. When you reach it, take a left, wallking towards the
Richmond Hotel. Take a right when you reach the hotel, and then a
left. You should be at Pearl Drive. You'll pass Starbucks, then
Pancake House, and a Books for Less sign at the corner of the
building directly across the street from the entrance to the
University of Asia Pacific campus.
Once you get to Residencia, please inform the Front Desk that you're a guest of Mark Humphries, and are going to the event at the rooftop cabana.
Entrance fee of 50 pesos.

points to determine who will be the Driver's Champions and Team
Champion. Following the F1 calendar loosely, there are a total of 18
race events, with 2 races per OGM. Due to the length of time it runs
when there's a lot of players (maximum of 10 players), the races will
start at 6:30pm. Interested players can just look for Victor during
the OGM when the game is being prepped (you can't miss it, it's a huge
box).

One of the rare Milton Bradley Gamemaster Series, this game can handle
up to 5 players, and is only being brought since 2 participants would

Earthquake in Los Angeles: Clanabad is safe
An earthquake shook Los Angeles late this morning, measuring 5.4 in magnitude. There have been no reported injuries and media reports said the quake was felt as far south as San Diego and as far east as Las Vegas, Nevada.Full report here:

For the third time now, something has been seen walking past behind me while I was webcamming. The first time this happened, I had just bought my A4 Tech camera and was chatting with my girlfriend for the first time when she claims a long haired young woman in white suddenly walked by behind me. Being a former Spirit Questor, I tried to detecting anything nearby but failed to sense anything malignant. I decided to brush it off as just her teasing me to scare me...
...until one of my good friends, Johnboy, suddenly saw the same figure. Neither of them have talked about it, and yet their descriptions of the thing was the same. Female. Long hair. White clothes. Walking past behind me.
I tried to shut them both out, thinking they were just playing a prank at me. Maybe they planned this out from the beginning.
A few weeks later, I was sleeping in my room with the window curtains open (a rare thing. I usually shut the curtains since I hate the idea of waking to see someone by the window watching me sleep... hint hint...) My sister and her friend has just gotten home from some gimmick early morning when they saw the open window, then saw someone in white walk by inside. They called out to me, greeting me good morning, and when the figure in white ignored them, they thought maybe I was just too sleepy to answer.
Too sleepy indeed. Minutes later, I woke up, headed up to the main house for something to eat, and they saw me and greeted me again and teased me about not answering earlier when they called out. When my sister noticed I was actually wearing BLACK, she asked, "Kuya, whose your friend downstairs? We greeted him by mistake."
There wasn't anyone with me.
So now, months after these earlier incidents, my Panda Bear has seen my strange visitor again.

So who wants to stay over?

The Dark Knight

Heath Ledger and Christian Bale have found the roles they should play for the rest of their careers. A pity for Heath Ledger, that came sooner than we all hoped. But definitely, the Dark Knight succeeds in pulling off a complex plot, multiple villains, nice psychoanalysis moments on both the hero and the villain, and the tiny homages to the comics (did anyone catch the signature profile moment? How about the "bat clones" which Miller had happening in his The Dark Knight Returns? Then there was the cameo of someone from the first movie which really made this universe work! Anyone note the mention of a possible feisty female to come in the future?)
The movie had some slow moments, but they served as good chances to catch some breath. The Joker stole the show in this one big time, with disturbing antics you find yourself nervously laughing along with. He was truly scary, this Joker, but at the same time there was no denying his incredible level of genius. His plans were meticulous and beautifully laid. His fashion sense was impeccable! (God, I want that outfit he wore when he was arrested!) And I really love how he WAS the Joker and you would barely remember the earlier attempts to capture the Joker on film.
While there were new gadgets, the gadgets did not steal the show. They did, however, give us a great glimpse of what makes Bruce Wayne an incredible hero, and that is the fact that he considered options out of the box to make something work.
Two-Face. On my God Two-Face's transformation was beautiful. I loved how it actually makes sense why he can slowly become a member of Batman's villain's gallery.
And the resolution does make sense for me. It does bring back the way Batman worked best in comics and it does nicely open the field for more scenes where Batman does his work with the same intimidating quality he has always had.
All the deaths were well-worth it too.

I tell you watch it!
Then find yourself hating yourself after watching it, knowing you will never ever see another movie with this particular Joker again squaring off with the Bat.

Update: Foot Facts
So my battered ankle is slowly recovering. It was a terrible painful unable-to-walk ordeal last night. I discovered there was decidedly ugly looking swollen pair of veins on my foot.With the existence of those veins, I felt determined to have something done about them before they get worse. The ipit veins (pinched veins) were making my whole foot ache and unable to even carry my weight [when i got injured, i was actually still able to manually DRIVE home with my injured foot.]
So, pinahilot ko.
And yes, the massage was a horribly painful ordeal. I actually was able to keep from crying out but the pain was intense enough that I "fell asleep" (part of me wonders if I passed out).
I awoke at 4:00a.m. to find dinner left at my table, the doors locked, and felt my foot was a 40lbs. block of lead that I had to drag with me to get to the restroom.
Don't get me wrong, the foot did feel a whole lot better. But that didn't seem to be believable til around 10a.m.
Prior to that, I was deeply wondering if I should find my way to the hospital and have it checked or something. I was worried what if there's something more than just a sprain going on down there.
Realizing I had resources I could count on, I decided to try to contact some doctor relatives and friends for advice. Eventually, good ole Dr. Ron was on YM and we chatted about my podiatric predicament. Me counseled me that the hilot might have aggravated the injury and that omega pain killer might not have been a better option compared to ice.
I uncovered the foot and discovered OMG, it was swollen so much the ankle bump was round all the way to the heel! My foot looked like a frigging built bicep to elbow area. The swollen area was purplish, incidating it was the build-up of blood. Looks like the hilot DID cause the swelling.
However, I noticed too that I could now walk okay. Some slight pain still when I apply too much weight, but not like last night where I could barely let my toes touch the ground. The pain now is barely there and is only most noticeable when i straighten my leg forward, then try turning my foot towards the other foot.
So, following Dr. Ron's advice, I have now started to ice my poor punished paa and after cooling it down a bit, will just wrap it back in bandages so it can continue its healing.He even offered to lend me a cane if he finds one he can borrow!

All I need now is good friends to surprise me with ice cream. :-P

Was in a fight the other day.Who would have thought, eh?
Thankfully, the injuries were slight. Just a sprained ankle and a gashed elbow.
Although I felt the sprain after the fight, I actually ignored for a few minutes, drove home with it, and made the big mistake of showering after getting home rather than making sure the sprain is warmed up and kept wrapped.
So now it hurts like frigging hell and I am forced to hobble around the room like a decapitated chicken.
The reasons behind the fight are irrelevant for now.
But the possibility of misinformation does exist. So to all my friends, family, etc, if you hear anything concerning me that sounds "out of character" or "wrong" within the next few days or so, just bear in mind it could be spiteful words being passed around against me by someone who used to be my friend.
Why the defensiveness in this post?
Why not just say who did what and whether or not that person can be trusted, etc?
Because deep down I still believe that person can realize the wrong things that person keeps doing, and make a truly notable effort to change. And apologize.
People deserve second chances.
Or third ones.
My Panda Bear was actually "present" in the fight. She showed up at the perfect moment to calm me down and remind me to rein my temper in. After I moved to intercept two friends (again, me doing this... what's with that?) who were clearly about to get into a fistfight of some sort, I was inadvertently shoved backwards, off-balanced, and ended up landing on my right arm, scraping my elbow. At that time, I failed to notice I had sprained by ankle as I fell. It was clipped the "wrong way" against the street. I remain thankful I didn't see it happen. One of those watching the fight did though. Sakit daw ng hitsura.
And I got pissed.
Leapt up, threw two punches, then realized I might do worse, grabbed the other by the hands and pinned him against a wall. And just when tempers were flaring and I was almost on the verge of no longer caring-
A sudden downpour of cold strong rain.
Yep. My Raine appeared at the right moment to calm me down.
People watching the fight scattered away to hide from the downpour. One friend of mine ran into the scene to pull the other one I was fighting with away. And there I was, like some action hero ready for his close-up, just standing in the downpour and slicking my hair back.
I love you sweetie. Even an ocean apart, you're ready to wake me back into focus and calm.
On the other hand, today marks a very special day.
I hope my Panda Bear Isha forgives me for posting this papazzari shot of hers with a mystery man who covers his own face with a camera. (Hmm... hehehe, joke! Biro lang Lem!)

Although I felt the sprain after the fight, I actually ignored for a few minutes, drove home with it, and made the big mistake of showering after getting home rather than making sure the sprain is warmed up and kept wrapped.
So now it hurts like frigging hell and I am forced to hobble around the room like a decapitated chicken.

So to all my friends, family, etc, if you hear anything concerning me that sounds "out of character" or "wrong" within the next few days or so, just bear in mind it could be spiteful words being passed around against me by someone who used to be my friend.
Why the defensiveness in this post?
Why not just say who did what and whether or not that person can be trusted, etc?
Because deep down I still believe that person can realize the wrong things that person keeps doing, and make a truly notable effort to change. And apologize.
People deserve second chances.
Or third ones.
My Panda Bear was actually "present" in the fight. She showed up at the perfect moment to calm me down and remind me to rein my temper in. After I moved to intercept two friends (again, me doing this... what's with that?) who were clearly about to get into a fistfight of some sort, I was inadvertently shoved backwards, off-balanced, and ended up landing on my right arm, scraping my elbow. At that time, I failed to notice I had sprained by ankle as I fell. It was clipped the "wrong way" against the street. I remain thankful I didn't see it happen. One of those watching the fight did though. Sakit daw ng hitsura.
And I got pissed.
Leapt up, threw two punches, then realized I might do worse, grabbed the other by the hands and pinned him against a wall. And just when tempers were flaring and I was almost on the verge of no longer caring-
A sudden downpour of cold strong rain.
Yep. My Raine appeared at the right moment to calm me down.
People watching the fight scattered away to hide from the downpour. One friend of mine ran into the scene to pull the other one I was fighting with away. And there I was, like some action hero ready for his close-up, just standing in the downpour and slicking my hair back.
I love you sweetie. Even an ocean apart, you're ready to wake me back into focus and calm.
On the other hand, today marks a very special day.
I hope my Panda Bear Isha forgives me for posting this papazzari shot of hers with a mystery man who covers his own face with a camera. (Hmm... hehehe, joke! Biro lang Lem!)
Does anyone know if the supposed reunion Eheads concert is for real? And how one can get tickets in advance. My sweetie is determined to watch if it is real and will travel back home to see if once I get the tickets. So if anyone out there can help me out, do raise your hand and PM me asap!
What began at LOVE IS IN THE FAIR back in Feb 14, 2006 is once again celebrated today in both Vancouver and Manila.

New footage of Final Fantasy Versus XIII 13 FFXIII FF13 ... FFvXIII FFv13 ... I have no idea how to properly shorten this, but it was as I believe posted on Gametrailers about 24 hours ago, thanks to Dengeki. Either way, Square Enix seems to have decided that this game can be a bit bloody, and just generally look cool. So far I am still not convinced that these are actual gameplay footage though, so I won't go and be like 'The Sony Playstation 3 or PS3 Makes It All Possible'. But it still looks fantastic. Check it out.
