Day 243 of 365 Days of Geeky Happiness
Pan's Labyrinth was one of those dazzling films that should have been appreciated by its own right rather than compared to movies like Naria or Lord of the Rings. So many hated the movie for not being "fantastic" enough, but they fail to see how the movie is intended to juxtapose fantasy and real, violence and safety, family and the need to find one's place. The DVD has even more fruits, with nice glimpses to deleted scenes and the like.
