Three things still remain strongly in my mind from this movie. The first is how they used the concept of Egypt in relation to aliens and space travel (a concept which a friend of mine and I were working on a month before the movie came out! Graaagh..), the second was the Anubis helmets they used which were fantastic liquid-metal sort of armor. A beautiful way to interpret high technology into an ancient imagery. And lastly, was the remarkable performance of Jaye Davidson (who I first loved in the movie The Crying Game) as Ra. I wasn't that much a fan of the sequels or television series spin-offs though.
