THE THINGS TOBACCO COMPANIES DO...
Here in Los Angeles, I have been monitoring various commercials and home-tv shopping segments to get a pulse on what the North American trend exists when it comes to such productions. I've been looking into the visual style, the musical touches and even the camera shot choices as research for discussion when I get back to Manila. One of the many ads that really got me curious were commercials for a campaign against Tobacco Companies called Fair Enough where they re-enact what at first seem to be humorous segments about Tobacco companies attempting to divert attention to the dangers of smoking by funding campaigns against other things, or by considering creating food alternatives and snacks made of cigarettes. Horrifyingly, none of it is fictional. The actual documents on such thinigs can be found here.

Talk about freaky, eh.
