Vampire: The Requiem movie

It actually may be something pretty good.
Bare info here. And here.

Hmm...

1) It's being produced by Adam Fields, responsible for the brilliant and creepy 'Donnie Darko.' It is said that he actually plays Vampire: The Requiem too, so that's plus points.

2) It's been picked up by New Line, the people who brought to us The Lord of the Rings and Blade. Considering how they were willing to avoid typical marketing twists (like more explosions! more nude scenes! modernize everything) and resort to few that try to still be true to the source (Arwen was to replace Glorfindel but still kept the pace working. Frodo's near-death pushed to the third movie, but kept to keep continuity going well), is even more added points.

Things Adam Fields worked on:
Donnie Darko (2001) (producer)
Brokedown Palace (1999) (producer)
Ravenous (1999) (producer)
Money Train (1995) (executive producer)
Journey to the Center of the Earth (1989)(executive producer)
Great Balls of Fire! (1989) (producer)
Johnny Be Good (1988) (producer)
Whoopee Boys, The (1986) (producer)
Vision Quest (1985) (executive producer)

White Wolf, which has had other properties notably Hunter: The Reckoning optioned by Hollywood studios.

Also in production:
There's also a Rifts movie in the works (by Jerry Brukhiemer and Disney). The Disney part scares me. Uh oh.

The movie rights for the Deadlands game have also been optioned by Revolution studios I think.

Then, there's too.
