Day 222 of 365 Days of Geeky Happiness
The Secret of Ziran had a beautiful system for character creation. Here, you chose a starting age, then began choosing "professions" to reflect what you did at so and so age. So at the end of character creation, you actually already also have a nice short historical account of your character's concept.
The game was a nice mash-up of Final Fantasy, Indiana Jones and Dr. Who, but alas, shoddy layout and a stat system that seemed overly complicated ruined the game.
