Dark Ages: Vampire is a favorite setting for my group.
In as much as we do enjoy games set in the modern era or based on science fiction settings, the medieval ages remains a much favored timeline to explore. While in some ways this may stem from the historical influence Dungeons and Dragons has played on us, it is also greatly due to the complex interplays of the varying pillars of influence in society that existed during this time.
