Happy Halloween!

Yes, there were really disturbing costumes this Halloween, although few can compete with the disturbing image I found to grace my site this Halloween.

There was a time Colonel Sanders was a viable Halloween Costume.

Scary.

He still does remind me of the Architect in the Matrix trilogy.

Its sad though.  Halloween has become victim to the censorship and control of less open-minded figures.  In some places, scary and frightening has been replaced with manga and anime costumes instead.  Superheroes and fairies are preferred while ghouls, ghasts and bloody victims are not even permitted to walk about the party grounds.

Halloween has little difference now with cosplay parties.

:-(

Give me the bloody, frightening, spine tingling, hair raising spooks instead.
It is only once a year that fear takes the throne.
Why stop it now?

Sighs.

  1. i totally agree Tobie. that's why i encouraged my kid to dress up as a Vampire instead of a faerie in one of the events. i hate it when i see superhero costumes in Halloween parties.

i say yeah, gimme the spooks, man!
