SOME GOOD AND SOME BAD
First, a bad news item. I didn't make the initial cut for the 2007 Cinemalaya competition. I had high hopes for it, having submitted a synopsis which was given good marks by Dr. Doy Delmundo (who was my mentor back in college for scriptwriting) and having heard from many others how revolutionary the script sounded. I guess it just comes to show, you can't really expect and you just have to hope. There's always next year I guess. As well as the short film with Ma-an, and the possible full-length film with Cholo. You can find a list of the semi-finalists here.

Another bad news item, Manny Pacquiao won. Yes, for me that is a bad sign. I have nothing against him, but I have seen a horrible trend towards repeat victories leading to larger than Manila egos and before you know it... the temptation to run for politics shows up. Let's us hope and pray this is not so. Hell, we already got Borgy Manotoc running somewhere. It has begun.

On the good side of things, I've started going to the gym again. Today was the breaking day and I feel like a slab of melting cheese. Knees and elbows and shoulders and... crap... everything except the family jewels hurts right now. And it is the good kind of hurt. Egad. I miss this hurt!

And, the shoot for the commercial I have been working on for ABS-CBN Global is finally pushing through tomorrow. About time. I want that project done and over with. They've gotten far more from me than what they've paid me for. I just want it to end and get paid. Even if the payment, knowing ABS-CBN, would be half a year from now.

Well, just sharing some updates.
Cheers to you all!
