NEIL GAIMAN IN MANILA

Neil talking about how in Singapore, everyone would be in lines and quiet. What can I say, we Filipinos appreciate someone by screaming their namesand wanting to marry them! HEheheh

Neil arriving in a Leather Jacket and talking about how his computer was supposed to print stuff out but ended up breaking down for the meantime, so instead we're getting a reading from his coming book, Anansi Boys.

Adrian and Nabs getting ready for their signing. Unlike them, I opted to just be happy to see him and probably share with him some of my stuff on Monday. These guys probably have been there since this morning!

Neil sounded like Professor Snape! Lovely accent and even lovelier was his personality and attitude. No complaints about the weather, no comments about the mess the government was in. Just smiles, sharing and lots of stories.

Johnboy and I saw the old Malate guys there too! It was cool seeing how they were all still good friends of one another. I also saw Nikka, Paul, David Hontiveros, Benedict Bartolome and a few other old faces. Some ignored me. Others didn't recognize me. So life goes on I guess.

Gawd... may I one day co-write or draw for him.

Also, finally got to meet Quark Henares, which was really cool. I found it strange how he and his friends were saying my name like they were fans. I have not achieved anything yet unlike him, so that kinda caught me off-guard (but was damn nice ego boosting! Thank you Charles for introducing me to him at last!

Errata: Charles just corrected me (and proved my horrendous memory for names and faces) that it was actually, Ramon who introduced me to Quark.

  3. I wish I could take credit but it was Ramon actually who introduced you. =) (Honestly, I don't think Quark even remembers me.)

  5. Neil was cool. I felt bad for the band that "opened" for him, though it wasn't really my kind of music. What time did you arrive at Rockwell? What time did you leave?

  6. I ignored the band. No offense to them, but they were not why I was there.

As to Rockwell, I arrived like 4:00 or 5:00 pm and I left once the signing began.
