ADB night - Denchos

Ateneo peeps were celebrating at the second floor.
Kami namang mga Lasallian nasa ground level.

Heheheh buti di nagkarambol!

The Choices One Has to Make

Today is a day where shit hits the fan for some of my friends.

For some, it might be e day where friendships end.  For some, a day when one tries to stand up for what one believes is right, even if every other sign, fact and experience says it is wrong.  And for me, it is another long stretch for me of having to be there for both sides of the fence, while still keeping to my own personal views on what I think about what has transpired.

But yes, it is another one of them stressful days.

And the fun thing about it?  I still have to do work on a day like this.  And yes, that means on a weekend, with no extra pay since its a family business.   Talk about juggling your brain too much.

Thankfully, my Panda Bear was there to help me.
And thankfully, I still have my health.

Hay, kapagod talaga.
Sobra.

Back to work.  Will have a meeting pa after lunch.
And somehow, I sense, might have to talk to some of the people concerned later tonight.

The bright side?
I knew this was going to happen.  Foresaw it weeks ago.

The bad side?
I find it very hard to see this turning out for the best afterwards anytime soon.

Josh Groban: 60th Annual Emmy Awards

Josh Groban sings a medley of classic TV tunes from the past 40 years at the 2008 Primetime Emmy Awards held at Nokia Theatre on Sunday (September 21) in Los Angeles.

The 27-year-old international classical-pop singer performed tunes from The Golden Girls, Cops, The Jeffersons and even South Park.

“Nothing I’m singing I’ve ever sung before, except for South Park with friends,” Josh said before his crazy performance. “There’s a lot of stuff that allows me to just be me, then there’s a lot of stuff that allows me to let my multiple personalities to go play for a bit.”

Happy Monthsarey Panda Bear!

Another 15th passes.
Another month to add to our time together.
(Though painfully another month of time apart)

I love you!

And yes, I will see you soon.

Why I really really love BSG!

Kulang na lang, gawin din ito ng Lost gals.

Sighs.

I wanna french kiss my toaster now.

LOST: Extras - 'Battlestar: Lostica'

Wala lang.
Saya. :-)

Caprica Official Promo 2009

Mixed feelings right now.
I dunno. Maybe I don't feel much for the casting right now.

Or maybe I miss the signature look and music of the series.
Maybe I just need time to like it more.

Cool and WTF comic moments for today

Deadpool in Hulk vs Wolverine from Deadpool Bugle on Vimeo.
Yay DEADPOOL in the upcoming Hulk versus Wolverine animated film!  I can't wait to see how good this movie can get.

On the other hand, here are some strangeness that appeared in comics.

I guess DC comics has its reasons for these scenes.
I would really love to know what it was though.
Somehow, however, I sense we will never really ever know.

I mean... come on.. Batman's LOVE SCENE with a goat?  Note, it was a goat.  And notice, the goat ain't in the passive "take me pose".  So not only was DC hinting at beastiality... it was hinting at homosexual beastiality.

Then you got Superboy and the Legionnaire using X-ray vision to CHECK EACH OTHER OUT!??!?!  Aba.... Statement yan!

You Know Dragonball is going to look bad...

... when it looks worse than the first Dungeons and Dragons movie.
And yes, I used to think that was impossible.

Oh and having the eclipsed sun also is a big clue it will suck! (Joke lang, Heroes fans!)

Lastly, baket si Piccolo nagmukhang reject ng Borg. Or was he supposed to be a Stranger in Dark City pero di pumasa sa auditions?

Marvel Writes a Good One Sometimes

Case in point, a Manthing moment in Civil war.

Voltron: the Movie

From one of the news sites I peruse:
It's a Lion! It's Huge! It's Voltron!
Source:Latino Review
August 28, 2008

Last week, it was reported that New Regency had put Voltron: Defender of the Universe into turnaround. The news said that Relativity Media is now backing the property with a more moderate budget, utilizing the type of cost-effective technology employed in films like 300. A director was going to be attached in a week.

Now, Latino Review has learned that Max Makowski will take on the directing duties for the project, which was written by Justin Marks.

Makowski directed 2005's One Last Dance, rewrote the screenplay for the Hawaii Five-O feature, and is attached to the direct the big screen adaptation of 1970s TV series Kung Fu and the Shinobi remake.

Voltron: Defender of the Universe is described as a post-apocalyptic tale set in New York City and Mexico, where five survivors of an alien attack band together and end up piloting the five lion-shaped robots that combine and form the massive sword-wielding Voltron that helps battle Earth's invaders. It is based on the popular 1980s Japanese animated TV series, comic books and toy line.

I do not know whether to laugh or cry.    In as much as I am excited to see a big screen Voltron, and in as much as I did enjoy the Shinobi remake, I just wonder how they will be able to adapt this nicely without really having to rewrite/change things.
