Hope, Sacrifice and Unity.
The Battle Rages Across the Stars.
And you are the Weapon.

In the Trinity timeline, in 2106 the Aberrants returned from exile deep space, ready to take Earth back for themselves. However, they were stopped by a force that had been growing in secret for several years: the psions.

The Aberrant wars that take place before Trinity starts have scarred the earth. In particular, the fall of the space station Esperanza in Europe and the Blight in the midwestern FSA has resulted in a devolution of power to the rest of the world. Brazil, China, Africa and Australia are major powers in the Trinity timeline. Europe is a wasteland, America is under the control of a fascist government, and Japan is only slowly emerging from self-imposed exile.

In addition to the national changes, the Trinity era has had first contact with several alien species. The most notable ally race are the Qin, alien masters of biotechnology who do not have their own psis. Earth is at war with an alien race called the Chromatics, who have advanced control of light and their own technology, as well as a holy mission to destroy mankind. The potential greatest threat to mankind is the Coalition an apparent hegemony of aliens on a giant generational ship headed towards Earth and with no interest in mankind except as a source of genetic raw material.

Psi Orders
The eight Psi Orders are each experts of a different noetic Aptitude, ranging from the healing process to an alternate form of the quantum powers of Aberrants. While psi potentials are present throughout the world, their powers can only be awakened through the use of Prometheus Chambers, which were brought to the world by the Proxies, the founders of the orders and the undisputed masters of their Aptitudes.

* The Æsculapian Order, practitioners of vitakinesis.
* The Chitra Bhanu, the forsaken dark psions, practitioners of quantakinesis.
* The Interplanetary School of Research and Advancement, practitioners of clairsentience.
* The Legions, practitioners of psychokinesis.
* The Ministry of Noetic Affairs, practitioners of telepathy.
* The Nova Fôrça de Nacionales, practitioners of biokinesis.
* Orgotek, practitioners of electrokinesis.

The Orders, while seperate entities, work together as a unified whole via the work of the Æon Trinity.

CLOVERFIELD

A new high-resolution trailer is now available.

And yes:
1) It DOES show a hint of the monster
2) It does support the "whole movie shot with handheld cameras" it seems.
3) It does look really good!
4) It does suggest there are smaller monsters too.

I can't wait!

To my one and only Panda Bear,

Here's to 21 months together, and to a lifetime to follow. I know the distance is overwhelming at times, and the time-difference a real killer, but we definitely got something worth fighting for and worth taking risks for.

So I'm not giving up on us.

I'm going to find a way to earn my way to get back to you. I'm going to get that Canadian Visa and that plane ticket somehow and see you again soon.

And I'm going to eventually find a way to be able to stay with you even longer,.

We got something, love.
And it is definitely for keeps.

Happy 21 months love!
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!

I'll be with you again soon.

ALEC KASI EH...

Frightening but true, the kind car I've been using as the unofficial NWA ferry/taxi refused to start today. Even after I tried to tighten, knock, tickle, tease, seduce, intimidate and beg the car battery to start working, dear old Maroonish UEN refused to start.

Sadly this means I won't be able to join Mika, Patton, Mara (and whoever else will be there) for tonight's Fruits In IceCream run.

And this really reminds me of someone's recent blogpost of a very similar nature.
I guess this is true proof na the ALEC KASI EH movement should begin. After threatening to introduce me to his Tobie-devouring Bulldog named Tommy, I guess my dear vehicle spent the last of her energies to bring me back home from the Cubao area to the safety of my Garapatabode.

With the heavy next line up of activities for my next few days, here's hoping the battery really is the only thing wrong with UEN. I need to be mobile starting tomorrow evening!

Alec Kasi eh...

Snarf!

feeling very Bubbly

Been getting very into this song by Colbie Caillat which I heard thanks to my sister, Tracy, who was on the radio that day. It is called Bubbly and it really captures a lot how I feel whenever I get to catch my Panda Bear Isha online via Yahoo! Messenger.

Here's to someday seeing you again face to face, love.
In Vancouver!

I've been awake for a while now
you've got me feelin like a child now
cause every time i see your bubbly face
i get the tinglies in a silly place

It starts in my toes
makes me crinkle my nose
where ever it goes i always know
that you make me smile
please stay for a while now
just take your time
where ever you go

The rain is fallin on my window pane
but we are hidin in a safer place
under the covers stayin dry and warm
you give me feelins that i adore

It starts in my toes
makes me crinkle my nose
where ever it goes
i always know
that you make me smile
please stay for a while now
just take your time

where ever you go

What am i gonna say
when you make me feel this way
I just........mmmmmmmmmmm

It starts in my toes
makes me crinkle my nose
where ever it goes
i always know
that you make me smile
please stay for a while now
just take your time
where ever you go

I’ve been asleep for a while now
You tucked me in just like a child now
Cause every time you hold me in your arms
Im comfortable enough to feel your warmth

It starts in my soul
And I lose all control
When you kiss my nose
The feelin shows
Cause you make me smile
Baby just take your time
Holdin me tight

Where ever, where ever, where ever you go
Where ever, where ever, where ever you go…

First up, finally got my shinny plastic license! After all those months of my Panda Bear Isha teaching me to drive, I've been going around town with my temporary license in hand. Finally got the real thing (although it did require a scary close call with some possibly intoxicated cops as well as long drive to Imus, Cavite) and let me just say, "Sweetie, I really wish you were still somewhere I could drive to right now..."

Then, missed the Yale party (yes, I horribly terribly dearly regret doing so) but on the other hand was able to get a shiny new computer thanks to Seth. Haven't gotten around to actually using it though since I need to first find a good way to set up TWO computers in my room (so this is a shout out to anyone with spare computer tables... tell me!!! I'll give them a great home!)

And finally, got a haircut. Although I was sorely tempted to keep my longer locks and find a way to make my Sayid/Desmond look last longer, liking the way the locks worked with my mug, I decided to hit my tita's parlor and have them chop off the hair to something more manageable. Thankfully, my Panda Bear approved of my new look.

Lastly, after using Flicker for some time to upload photos, I've just learned that i was using a free Pro account, and learned how horrific the actual free account is like. So I'm going to start using Multiply for all my photos from now on. Goodbye Flicker!

EVERYONE IS INVITED!

LOADS OF UPDATES AS THE MONTH TURNS INTO NOVEMBER
First of all, let us all congratulate my sweetie whose photograph is part of an Exhibit in New York. My sweetie was one of the five finalists in the Music Category and her photograph was featured the exhibit of the New York International Photography contest. I am so proud of her!

Then, quite recently, the New Worlds Alliance successfully celebrated the 5th New Worlds: Science Fiction and Fantasy Convention! The single day affair was held in Glorietta a scant 8 days after the sad incident which led to a number of deaths and injuries. Many groups were forced to change their event-line up or booth design in respect of those who lost loved-ones in the tragic accident. Two moments of silence were offered in the event as well.

Had a great time running FIGHT! as well as moderating the very successful Writer's Forum. My thanks again to the guest speakers who attended the forum and to everyone else who came and learned something new!

Photos and videos can be found in my multiply account.
As well as in the New Worlds Alliance homepage itself.

Next, we had the Dare 2 Pair Halloween party at Hard Rock Cafe. Once again, the New Worlds Alliance gave the event its unique touch, not to mention added a dose of hilarious fun and dancing to the event. This time, I got to go in a costume (other than FIGHT!) and opted to do a homage to my favorite TV show, LOST.

Photos and videos can be found in my multiply account.

Life has been good.
Even if it has been tough in many other ways.

Still working on finding a way to ship myself to Canada within the year. Many have advised me to move the trip to February or so, as to avoid the yuletime rush. But part of me desperately needs to see, touch and embrace my Panda Bear again soon. I was never really good with distance, and it is really taking a lot of faith, willpower and patience to get through each week that passes.

Staying busy has allowed me to focus my energies on more creative things rather than just be depressed over having the ocean to fight against.

But yes, life has been good.

Hope your's have been too, my dear readers!

Oh and NaNoWriMo has begun! Here's to trying another stab at writing a novel.
Join up!
