happybirthdaytome

Thank to everyone who was able to swing by and join the eating, gaming and laughing!
(By order of attendance: Isha, Urim, Mike, Irene, Melai, Janet, Rio, Jorge, Sam, Ian, Awie, Zeki, John Boy, Hamz, Randee, Majo, Andy, Adrian, Nabs, Ebe, Paola, Joey and Cho!)

Wish you were all here! It was brought to my attention that some friends were mistakenly under the impression that they weren't invited! (wah) Actually, I tried to invite everyone my cellphone could reach, and the rest through my phone book and blog. In fact, I posted the darn map to the house in my blog! HAhhaa!

Congratulation to the Ateneo-De La Salle team for willing Crainium Primo edition! We blasted the U.P. Diliman and the DropOuts teams away!

Here's hoping to catch you all again soon (like the upcoming Open Meet this May 5!)
Pictures to follow soon!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY PANDA BEAR!
We've been celebrating it for three days now. :-) Thank you to all those who find time to be part of the celebrations! And special thanks to Red Ribbon for the Mango Cream Pie which has replaced the need for a birthday cake. (yum!) My sweetie is another year older, another year wiser and another year sweeter and sexier!

I love you, Isha!

See my cute panda bear with her cousin!
awww...

Birthday coming up:

If you're coming to the dinner this April 25, 2007, here's the map to help you find my house!

ONE YEAR, TWO MONTHS
I love you, Patricia Raine Mallare Pimentel.
And even when May 5 comes around, I will still love you even if an ocean now distances us from one another.

And someday, I will be there on Canadian shores to be with you again.

BATTLESTAR GALACTICA
Few television series really get me engaged the way Lost does, and Battlestar Galatica is one of them. Revitalizing the old 1978 classic concept, the show pits the survivors of the human race against the strange, spiritual and calculating Cylons who had laid waste to the rest of humanity. Leading them are the tandem of Commander Adama and President Roslin who, despite their differences, work things out for the continued survival of humanity. Trust me, the show has so many levels of depth and character it would be hard to really explain it all here.

Simply put, it definitely is worth watching and got me excited for the third season (unlike a very derivative superHERO show which I really don't understand caught so many people's attention). The show easily moves from war movie, to social dynamism, to relationships, to action, to political conflict and back again without ever losing the sci-fi vibe.

If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend you take time to check it out.

Trailer for Season 1:

The trailer, sadly, is a bad one. Couldn't find the original beautiful opening sequences of the show on YouTube.

APRIL MUSINGS
I feel the urge to revamp my blog. With our family business steadily growing more and more stable, I've been anxiously awaiting for the chance to have more free time to do what I want. Had to turn down a possible film role due to work. Furiously finding time to finish a script I owe a friend. And sneaking in moments to continue scribbling scripts and copy work for another friend.

Panda Bear Isha has been quite a trooper, supporting me when I get too tired (or sleepy.) Her patience is truly admirable and many women will do well to learn from her where she finds her inner strength. I will always be thankful and grateful for having her in my life.

Anyway, have to jump back into work. Be in touch!
